Assessor Course (TAQA) — Competence

This course is for anyone wishing to assess qualifications in the work environment and/or simulated environments. Specifically it is for those who assess in the work environment, using the assessment methods for learners’ work activities. The Level 3 provides a pathway for learners to understand assessment; it provides practitioners with the skills to assess the achievement of competence in a work environment. This course consists of 2 units: one assignment-based which will cover the theory of assessment and one work-based unit which will cover the practical application of assessing in the work environment. Students will build a portfolio of evidence to show how they, as a student assessor, have met the performance criteria to achieve this qualification.

Entry Requirements:

There are no formal requirements for this course, however, candidates should be working in, or working towards a role in quality assurance. The theory based qualifications provide a good base for those candidates who are trying to enter into quality assurance roles. To undertake the full Award candidates are required to have access to two learners.

You have 3 Months to complete the assignments. However If you finish earlier, you will be awarded early (You do not need to wait for up to 3 Months). You have flexibility to go through the materials in your own time.
You just need to go through the ‘Joining Instructions’ on the online portal – it would explain to you how to go through the course.

Course Assessment:

Theory Assignment: We will assess your course work at the centre upon submission.
Unit 2 will be directly assessed through you demonstrating your ability of assessment, and producing the required evidence through work products.
